Basketball Impact

2017-18 saw a good number of boys to start the season.  This was the first year, in a while, the 8th grade boys were able to move up and play with the high school team.  We had 3 boys who improved a great deal and contributed the whole season.  The other JV boys worked hard and consistently grew in their skills and abilities.  The Varsity boys played some great defense throughout the season.  Our defensive prowess earned us the distinction of being the most improved team in the district.  Sam Reese was an honorable mention all-district team selection.  The boys finished in the middle of the District 7 teams.

On the girls side, we were small in numbers but mighty in heart.  The girls finished 2nd in the District 7 South division with a 9-5 record and 14-9 overall.  Many of the ladies’ games were very close and decided in the last minutes of the game.  Our girls team also played fantastic defense, which kept them close in many games.  Phoebe Trigsted and Kendra Pope both made the All-District Team for the season.  The season was fun, left us all wanting more and excited for next year.
