Hi, I am excited to be here at VCS!
I graduated from Lewis and Clark High school on the South Hill. I went to college at the University of Southern California in L.A. and graduated with a BS in Elementary Education with an emphasis in Fine Arts. I have always been involved in different aspects of education – tutoring, training and teaching. I love helping students find ways to better understand various subjects and seeing the light go on when they grasp the concepts. I have always had a love for learning and find joy in helping others gain that love as well.
My husband and I started up a nonprofit here in the Spokane Valley 3 years ago called Arts Academy of Spokane that is an after school program for Title 1 schools in Central Valley School District that introduces fine arts to elementary students and supports the schools’ music and performing arts programs.
I started teaching at VCS last year in the home school department. This year, I am teaching Geometry 10 in the day school program.
