Time Required: Part Time (10-month contract, August 2025 to June 2026, renewable)

Responsible To: VCS Secondary Principal

Valley Christian School is looking for a dynamic Christian teacher with confidence to teach beginning, intermediate, and advanced Spanish classes in our high school. This position may be part-time or full-time if combined with other content areas that suit the candidate’s interests and abilities. See other available positions listed on the school’s website. Teaching Responsibilities:

  1. High School Spanish I, II, & III
  2. Provide experiences with Spanish culture in and out of the classroom
  3. Conversational opportunities for speaking Spanish in and out of the classroom
  4. To achieve full-time status, this position would combine Spanish teaching with teaching in other content areas

Qualifications:

  1. Minimum BA/BS Degree
  2. ACSI Temporary, Standard, or Professional Teaching Certificate (may be obtained later, after receiving teaching assignment)
  3. Washington or other State Teaching Certificate (preferred but not required)
  4. Proficient in Spanish culture and language, both written and spoken
  5. Experience teaching Spanish in a school setting

     

  6. Ability to differentiate instruction for various learning levels

     

  7. Committed Born Again Christian with Spirit-led Christian Life and Testimony

     

  8. Commitment to a Biblical Worldview philosophy of education

     

  9. Excellent classroom management, communication, organizational skills, and relational instruction

     

  10. Passion to work with young people

     

  11. A calling and passion to work with the ministry of a Christian school
