Time Required: Part Time – 10 Month Contract August 18, 2025 – June 10, 2026
Responsible To: Elementary School Principal & Head Administrator
Recess Aid Responsibilities: The Elementary Recess Aid will be responsible for providing quality supervision for children in Kindergarten-6th Grades on the playground during specific time intervals by grade levels. They will also assist Teachers in Elementary Classrooms.
Qualifications:
- Minimum AA Degree in the area of education or related educational field (BA/BS preferred).
- Experience in working with Elementary age children and providing quality supervision.
- Excellent relational skills and ability to proactively supervise elementary-age children positively.
- Certification in First Aid/CPR or willing to obtain.
- Born Again Believer and follower of Jesus Christ.
- Committed Spirit-led Christian Life/Example.
- Commitment to a Biblical Worldview philosophy of education.
- A calling and passion to work with and love young people.
- Your duties will involve not only the responsibilities ordinarily incumbent with your position at VCS but also those responsibilities related to the special spiritual ministry to which you are called, the training of the child in biblical Christian faith and practice. Employees play a vital role in carrying out the religious mission of instructing the next generation in the faith. In a very real sense, therefore, it is the expectation that you will strive at all times to understand, appreciate, and love the students entrusted to you for their fullest intellectual, physical, emotional, and spiritual development. As a servant of the Lord Jesus Christ, you will faithfully attend the regular services of your church as an example of the believer.
