Time Required: Part Time (10-month contract, August 2025 to June 2026, renewable)
Responsible To: VCS Secondary Principal
Pay Information:
- Pay scale: $32,905 to $50,765 based on Experience, Education, and Certifications.
- Pay is prorated for Part-Time positions based on the percentage of time worked.

Working Days & Hours:
- 4-day student week with teacher contracts totaling 172 days/Admin 191 days
- Typical teacher hours: 7:15am–4:15pm, Monday–Thursday; approximately half of Fridays required for parent teacher conferences, In-service trainings, events, or other workdays
Valley Christian School is looking for a dynamic Christian teacher with confidence to teach beginning, intermediate, and advanced Spanish classes in our high school. Teaching Responsibilities:
- High School Spanish I, II, & III
- Provide experiences with Spanish culture in and out of the classroom
- Conversational opportunities for speaking Spanish in and out of the classroom
- To achieve full-time status, this position would combine Spanish teaching with teaching in other content areas
Qualifications:
- Minimum BA/BS Degree
- ACSI Temporary, Standard, or Professional Teaching Certificate (may be obtained later, after receiving teaching assignment)
- Washington or other State Teaching Certificate (preferred but not required)
- Proficient in Spanish culture and language, both written and spoken
- Experience teaching Spanish in a school setting
- Ability to differentiate instruction for various learning levels
- Committed Born Again Christian with Spirit-led Christian Life and Testimony
- Commitment to a Biblical Worldview philosophy of education
- Excellent classroom management, communication, organizational skills, and relational instruction
- Passion to work with young people
- A calling and passion to work with the ministry of a Christian school
