Valley Christian School supports Christian families who have chosen to homeschool by offering flexible academic and enrichment opportunities for students in grades K–12. Whether families are seeking core classes, electives, testing, or social connection, our program provides supplemental education grounded in a biblical worldview without compromising the unique strengths of home-based learning.

How Does VCS Support Homeschool Families?

The VCS Homeschool program allows parents to retain full responsibility for their child’s education while accessing the resources of an established Christian school community. Students can enroll in individual classes, join chapel services, participate in fine arts or athletics, and complete annual academic testing through VCS. Our staff is available to provide guidance and encouragement, ensuring families feel supported in their homeschool journey. From first grade through senior year, homeschool students can grow academically and spiritually while remaining rooted in the flexibility of home education.

Ways We Support Homeschooling Education

Academic Course Enrollment

Homeschool students can enroll in individual on-campus classes at VCS—such as math, science, or English—while continuing their core education at home.

Fine Arts and Electives

Students have access to electives like art, music, drama, and technology, allowing them to explore creativity and build well-rounded skills in a classroom setting.

Standardized Testing Services

VCS offers annual standardized testing to help families track academic progress and meet homeschool accountability requirements.

Chapel and Spiritual Formation

Homeschool students are welcome to attend weekly chapel and participate in other spiritual life opportunities, reinforcing a Christ-centered worldview.

Athletic Participation

Eligible homeschool students can join VCS athletic teams, encouraging physical development, teamwork, and school community involvement.

Community and Social Connection

By engaging in classes, events, and extracurriculars, homeschool students gain social experiences in a Christ-centered environment—without losing the flexibility of home education.

When we enrolled our son as a freshman, his writing and spelling skills tested at a 6th grade level due to a combination of learning disabilities. Within 2 years he was testing at average level for his age. He is about to graduate having made honor roll his entire senior year, and was readily accepted to his university of choice. VCS made it possible for our son to have a level of success and opportunity for a future we never dreamed was possible before.
