Job Summary:

Valley Christian School is seeking a passionate and dedicated Part-Time Alumni Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the establishment and management of our alumni program, fostering meaningful connections and engagement between our school and its alumni community. This role requires strong organizational skills, effective communication, and a genuine enthusiasm for cultivating lasting relationships with our alumni.



  • Develop and maintain an updated alumni database, ensuring accurate and comprehensive records of alumni contact information and engagement.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for Valley Christian School’s alumni, fostering a strong sense of community and connection among graduates.
  • Coordinate and facilitate alumni events, including reunions, social gatherings, and networking opportunities, to promote continued engagement and involvement.
  • Identify and cultivate strong alumni volunteers to represent and lead engagement efforts for each decade cohort.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Development and other relevant stakeholders to strategize and implement effective alumni outreach initiatives.
  • Help promote the 50th-anniversary auction (April 2025), ensuring active alumni participation and support.
  • Communicate regularly with alumni to provide updates on school events, initiatives, and other pertinent information, fostering a sense of involvement and community pride.
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase alumni involvement, participation, and contributions to the school’s growth and development.



  • Born Again Christian with evident Christian walk.
  • A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as Communications, Marketing, or a related discipline, is preferred.
  • Previous experience in alumni relations, event planning, or community engagement is preferred.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with diverse stakeholders, including alumni, faculty, and community members.
  • Proficiency in using relevant software and tools for database management and communication purposes.
  • Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail, with the capacity to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Passion for fostering a sense of belonging and pride within the alumni community, coupled with a deep understanding of and alignment with Valley Christian School’s Christian values and mission.


Employment Details:

  • Position: Part-Time Alumni Coordinator
  • Hours: 10 hours per week (opportunity for role expansion)
  • Compensation: $21 per hour
  • Location: Valley Christian School, Spokane Valley, Washington (option for remote work with availability for occasional in-person meetings)
  • Tuition Discount (for parents only): 10% tuition discount
