I am excited to be part of the teaching staff here at VCS. This is my first year teaching Pre-K but have been around since 2014 being a substitute teacher and the 1st grade Teacher’s Aide to Mrs. Olson last year. I also was the PTF President the last two years as well.
I graduated from Biola University, in La Mirada, CA, with a Liberal Arts degree in Elementary Education with an emphasis in Intercultural Studies and a minor in Bible. I taught 4th grade for 2 years at the elementary school that I attended and then taught 3rd grade for 2 years at a different Christian school when I got married. My husband and I have 2 beautiful girls. Our oldest is a freshman and our youngest, Jillian, is a 5th grader here at VCS.
I have also worked with a couple of non-profits here in the Spokane Valley, as an assistant to the founders of BUTB and ran the office for INWB. I am very crafty, like scrapbooking, collect moose, like coffee, and love making everyone smile. Teaching is a part of my heart and I am thrilled to be back in my own classroom!
Philippians 4:13 is my favorite Bible Verse. “I can do all things through Christ, who gives me strength.”
