After 15 years living and working abroad, I’m happy to be here teaching Spanish at VCS!  I moved to Spokane from Cuenca, Ecuador in 2016 and spent the last 2 years teaching French at Spokane Falls Community College.  At SFCC, I also had the opportunity to substitute teach Spanish as well as run the French Club and coordinate French/Spanish Club events.  Previously, I spent 10 years in Europe teaching English as a Second Language in Germany and France as well as 2 years in Japan.

I received my BA in Comparative Literature at the University of California at Irvine and my MFA in Creative Writing Poetry at California State University Long Beach.

I’m excited to share the languages and cultures I learned abroad with students here in the US.  Thank you for this opportunity!
