We as a staff feel that it is so important that we teach our upper elementary students that it is important to be able to share their faith. During this chapel the sixth graders become the spiritual leaders of the elementary. With the help of a staff member, they develop a Bible lesson with a character builder, a craft, and a game. They present the lesson to a group of peers. This activity yields several purposes. One, it gives the students the opportunity to put into practice the things they have been taught in their Bible classes. It also allows them to be mentors, and examples to the other students in the school from kindergarten to the fifth grade. Each family contains students for each of the grade levels. It builds a family atmosphere at Valley Christian School where the younger students look up and admire their family leaders. It allows those students that have never had the opportunity to share their faith to others to shine.
